Festival Flea Market

Visitors to Pompano Beach, Florida, usually plan to enjoy the gorgeous weather and close proximity to South Florida’s beaches and waterways.  We’ve talked in previous posts about how many fun and exciting things there are to see and do outdoors in Florida, including visiting the Everglades, spending a day (or week) at Disney, or enjoying the South Beach atmosphere.

Since Florida is known as the Sunshine State, visitors often plan most of their vacation around outdoor activities – but when the day they were planning to spend renting jetskis and playing on one of the state’s many lakes and rivers winds up being rainy and cold, they’ll need to have a back-up plan.  Fortunately, South Florida is also home to the Festival Flea Market Mall, a huge indoor flea market and mall that boasts over 500 stores!

The Festival features so many different goods, ranging from clothing, accessories, and perfume to home goods, shoes, and novelties, that shoppers could literally lose themselves in the mall for hours.  Not only does the flea market offer a wide variety of merchandise, but the visitors can usually find amazing deals, bargains, and markdowns as well.

In addition to the many goods for sale throughout the Festival Flea Market Mall, this shopper’s paradise is also home to an enormous food court, with cuisine from around the world.  After a long morning of trekking through the quarter-mile mall, visitors can enjoy a delicious lunch at the food court, and then visit Tango’s Salon and Day Spa for a rejuvenating massage.

At the end of their visit, shopper’s can stop by the Farmer’s Market to pick up some fresh fruit and vegetables for dinner, or swing by Market Street, where vendors offer scrumptious candy, baked goods, and much, much more.  The Festival Flea Market Mall even has a video arcade section called Winner’s Arcade, a perfect spot for children to take a break from shopping and play games.

Best of all, the Festival is open 364 days a year (they only close on Thanksgiving Day), so no matter when you visit, they’ll be open.  With so many things to see and bargains to be had, visitors just may find themselves hoping for another rainy day so they have an excuse to go back!
