Located in the Mat-Su Region of Alaska, Big Lake North State Recreational Site is a great place for vacationers to spend the night while traveling throughout the state or to stay a few days and play. Big Lake North State Recreational Site has 60 overnight parking sites that are RV accessible, with no size limits on Alaska RVs. The camping fee is $15 a vehicle per night, and you can camp for up to seven days, giving you plenty of time to explore the area.
While you may decide not to camp during the winter months, you can still find activities at Big Lake North State Recreational Site. You can experience dog mushing, perhaps for the first time. Or, try your hand at snowmobiling through the beautiful wooded and snow-covered areas throughout Big Lake North. Other winter activities include cross-country skiing and ice fishing.
