Looking to visit the Newark, New Jersey, area for your next vacation?  Finding enjoyable restaurants is definitely a highlight of trips, so let us point out to you several fine dining experience options. We guarantee you won’t leave town hungry!

First, is the Chop House located ten minutes from Newark in Weehawken, New Jersey. This restaurant has one of the best views you will ever see as it lines the New York City skyline. You will be able to view the Hudson River, Empire State Building, and Wall Street all from your chair.  They are open weekly for dinner but do serve both lunch and dinner on the weekends.

Try calamari or crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer! The food is scrumptious and includes many seafood, steak, and chicken dishes. The restaurant has two levels, the upper level for large parties and groups. The outside porch is also open and provides a perfect place to catch a better glimpse of the city or take some pictures.  There are only 27 Chart House restaurants across the entire United States, so be sure to stop in while you are in town.

Next, visit the Russian Tea Room located in New York, New York. The Russian Tea Room, as its name suggests, is famous for its variety of tea cocktails. Their wine list features wine from all over the world and is quite extensive. Founded by members of the Russian Imperial Ballet back in 1927 by those who fled following the Revolution, the atmosphere is elegant and reflects red velvet and brass commonly used in decoration.

Both lunch and dinner are served. Themes of the lunch menu include a variety of salads, salmon, chicken kiev, and hanger steak. For dessert try the chocolate pyramid, a chocolate mousse with raspberry filling. Dinner entrees include meals like shrimp kabobs, veal, sesame-crusted tuna, and NY strip steak. The motto of the restaurant is “every dining experience is an affair to remember.” You will surely remember visiting the Russian Tea Room!

Finally, try Highlawn Pavilion located in West Orange, New Jersey. Your passenger van rental can have you from Newark to this restaurant in less than 15 minutes.  This restaurant was opened in 1986 after it was previously used as a casino.  Beautiful trees line the property, and Highlawn Pavilion is now known as being a popular location for weddings and other special events.

Several dining room options are available including the main dining room, piano room, wine cellar, and patio (a great place to sit and view New York City and Eagle Rock Park). Both lunch and dinner are served. Lunches include a variety of salads, sandwiches, fish, and veggie options. Dinner consists of filet mignon, chicken in mushroom and mustard sauce, Colorado lamb, veal chop, and more. Try Highlawn Pavilion and be amazed by the neat atmosphere, classy décor, and delicious food.

Your 15 passenger van renal provides the perfect way to travel around Newark and check out some great places to eat in New Jersey and the surrounding areas. So whatever the special occasion, celebrate on vacation by having a fine dining experience. Let us know what your favorite meal was and how you rate the restaurants!
