Belmont Park is found on the surf and sand in Mission Beach in California. This is an ideal spot for your entire family as you can ride traditional and contemporary amusement park rides, enjoy the waves at the Wave House, play some mini golf, go shopping, play some midway games, and dine at beachfront restaurants.
Belmont Park in San Diego is open generally between 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Hours do vary by season, so be sure to get online and check out times before you leave. Admission is free to the park. Then you can either buy an unlimited wristband for a day of riding for $23.95 or simply buy by the ride if you only want to ride a couple.

You can find Belmont Park just 1 mile west of Sea World in San Diego in your San Diego car rental. And did we mention that parking is completely free? Rides you can enjoy once you arrive include the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster, the Beach Blaster swing, and the Control Freak. The Control Freak allows you to rock forward, backwards, and even flip as you spin around in your hanging car.
The Octotron is a new thrill ride that takes you on a roller coaster like track both forward and backwards at an exciting, fast pace. If your kids are little, they will like the Crazy Submarine. This ride drops you into “deep waters” as you experience the feel of a submarine.
Along with these amusement park rides, you’ll want to check out the wave machines and wave pools. You’ll grab a board and find yourself surfing the waves or riding down on your stomach. Two rides known as the FlowRider and FlowBarrel are two of Belmont Park’s most popular attractions.
