Dining at the Peanut Farm

by April Shuttleworth on January 9, 2012

The Peanut Farm Sports Bar and Grill in Anchorage, Alaska, has been serving customers since back in 1958. A log builder began this building and opened a 2,000 square foot log building up with a bar and entertainment. Empty peanut shells were actually part of the flooring!

Over the years, the Peanut Farm Sports Bar and Grill was remodeled; and in 1986, a kitchen was added to begin offering visitors a full menu. Several more expansions were added to allow for more customers; and in 2005, the most recent expansion project was complete.

More Expansions at the Peanut Farm:

The expansion of this Alaska restaurant included the following: a deluxe sports bar and grill with 24- foot ceilings, an 80-foot bar and pizza kitchen, many large projections and flat screens, a headed deck, and an attached walkway. There is also a new parking lot that holds up to 120 vehicles, so you are sure to have room to park your Alaska van rental when visiting.

Over 70 different screens are ready to offer you the latest sports game. So even though you’ll be vacationing, you won’t have to miss your favorite football or basketball team play! You can easily make it an evening in at the Peanut Farm with your friends and good food.

Peanut Farm has lots of choices for your breakfast, lunch, or dinner meal. Their entire Peanut Farm menu is actually six pages long! For lunch choose from a selection of wraps like the California chicken wrap, steak wrap, raspberry chicken wrap, and chipotle chicken wrap. An assortment of flame broiled burgers and fresh toasted paninis are also choices.

For those of you wanting some delicious, Alaskan food try the charbroiled Alaskan halibut or charbroiled Alaskan salmon. Both of these come with steamed broccoli and cauliflower. Stone-fired pizzas are another favorite with the BBQ chicken, margarita, Wowi Maui, wild veggie, roasted garlic chicken, and super farm combo. These pizzas are great for sharing!

Hours for you to arrive in your Alaska RV rental here at Peanut Farm are Sunday through Monday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. Breakfast is served until 11 on the weekdays and noon on the weekends, so you’ll definitely have time to grab some even if you sleep in.
