Mexican Dining in Austin

Whether your favorite Mexican dish is comprised of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas, or maybe even a combo plate of all the above, you’ll find all of these at Tacos and Tequila. Known by the locals as TNT, this Austin restaurant is a great find for locals and vacationers. If you are headed to Austin for a vacation, definitely make this a stop for you and your family or friends traveling with you.

This trendy Mexican dining establishment can be found downtown. They take pride in offering visitors over 100 different types of tequila to choose from. For drinks they offer the very traditional margarita and also things a bit more unique such as the cucumber jalapeno margarita. One who tried it described it both as “interesting” and “delicious.”

What You’ll Find:

There is plenty of parking for your Austin RV rental in the downtown garage reserved especially for restaurant guests. You’ll find Tacos and Tequila at 507 Pressler Street. Tacos and Tequila do not use extremely complex ingredients and take pride in their local, handmade food.  Everything including their marinades, glazes, rubs, relishes, and salsas are made fresh and by hand.

Now are you ready to hear all some of the delicious menu items at Tacos and Tequila in Texas? For a starter we suggest the chips and queso. You can choose between the classic, beef, wild mushroom, and spinach artichoke queso. These are great for splitting and as a compliment to your salsa.

All tacos and skewers come with a choice of a homemade flour or corn tortilla shell. Try the buffalo chicken marinated and grilled in a street taco with ranch and blue cheese, a skewer with ranch, a salad wrap with all the works (greens, ranch, black beans, blue cheese, avocado, and roasted corn), or a southwest salad with greens, roasted peppers, avocado, blue cheese, tomatoes, roasted corn, and black beans.

Many of the other main dishes come in these taco, skewer, wrap, and salad choices. They are the seared tuna, southwest veggies and vinaigrette, shrimp, chicken, pork, ribeye, and beef tenderloin. Feel free to mix and match too if you would like a BBQ pulled pork taco, a beef tenderloin taco, and a shrimp taco platter.

And for a unique treat, try the breakfast tacos with scrambled eggs, jalapeno sausage, fried onions, and pico de gallo. This meal is served all day long! We hope you remember to visit Tacos and Tequila with your Austin camper rental during your Texas trip. And for more info on places to eat or check out, let us know.
